The Department of Culture is responsible for cultivating and promoting the culture of the New Republic, caring for her libraries and museums, and documenting her vast history. It also runs various cultural events. Previously called the Culture Office, the DoC now includes the Art Team, Galactic Museum, Republic News Network and ARGH.
The Department of Culture falls under the authority of the Ministry of State, and is represented by the Minister on the Advisory Council. Day-to-day running, including pay and bonuses, is managed by the Department of Culture Board.
