The Department of Culture is a former department under the Secretariat of Government responsible for cultivating and promoting the culture of the Rebel Alliance, caring for her libraries and museums, and documenting her vast history. It also runs various cultural events. Previously called the Culture Office, the DoC now includes the Art Team, Galactic Museum, Rebel News Network and ARGH. Each of these offices within the Department Of Culture have their own individual identity and responsibilities.

The Art Team is responsible for anything art related, from Avatars and forum signatures, to poster designs for events and artwork for RNN entries. The Galactic Museum holds the finest collection of technological wonders in the Rebel Alliance and possibly the galaxy. Their staff work tirelessly to keep up with the ever expanding technological advancements of the Rebel Alliance and beyond, acquiring new tech to put in the museum and maintaining the current portfolio. Rebel News Network prepares news articles for broadcast to both the Republic and the galaxy as a whole. They help keep the populace of the Rebel Alliance informed of current events within the Republic as well as the greater galaxy. The ARGH office has a responsibility to the morale of the Rebel Alliance. They run fun events and competitions designed to help keep the Republic running by providing the races of the Republic with a good laugh.

The Department of Culture falls under the authority of the Ministry of State, and is represented by the Minister on the Advisory Council. Day-to-day running, including pay and bonuses, is managed by the Department of Culture Board.
