Rebel Alliance Council Seal

The Alliance to Restore the Republic, or simply the Rebel Alliance, is the successor entity of the New Republic. Despite being a Resistance Movement against the Galactic Empire, the Rebel Alliance does count with its own Military and Civil Government. The Rebel Alliance Government is represented by appointed and elected officials of the Rebel Alliance Leadership (or Rebel Alliance Council - RAC).

The Rebel Alliance Council (RAC) has the power to pass laws and policies, such as: economic development, military, trade and commercial, legal, diplomatic, and intelligence; suggest and confirm appointments; and propose amendments. The Council consists of eight voting members, including department heads, faction CEOs, and a military high command member. RAC members advise the Supreme Commander, uphold the law, call emergency elections, and confirm non-military or intelligence-related judicial appointments. The Appointed Council members are responsible for decision-making within their respective departments.

The Rebel Alliance is represented by its highest representative, and head of state, the Supreme Commander Orion Chran. The Supreme Commander is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Rebel Alliance Intelligence and Rebel Alliance Military, both responsible for the security of the faction and its own attributions.

Under the Supreme Commander, the Deputy Supreme Commander, currently held by Coren Rinou, is the head of government, but limited to the Development, Production, and Natural Resources administration. The other branches of the Civil Government are headed by the Rebel Citizen Cabinet and its Secretaries. The Cabinet administrates the Academy Department, Culture Department, and Justice Department (Counseling & Public Defender's Office).

The Executive Branch is composed by the following bodies: Rebel Citizen Cabinet, Rebel Development & Production Department, Rebel Mining & Recycling Department, Rebel Alliance Intelligence, Rebel Alliance Diplomacy Command. Each body has its own sub-departments or nationalized companies (e.g. RDPD, and RMRD).

The Legislative branch is formed by the Rebel Alliance Council with 12 voting seats. The Supreme Commander chairs the council, and can also vote, the remaining members are: Deputy Supreme Commander, Chief of Military Operations, Director of Intelligence, Director of D&P, Director of M&R, NAT CEO (1), NAT CEO (2), PSA CEO (1), PSA CEO (2), Secretary of RCC (1), Secretary of RCC (2).

The Judiciary branch is the Rebel Alliance Court of Justice administered by the RAC & RCC. When charges merit a trial, citizens are selected to serve as Judges (juries). Three Judges, one being the Presiding Judge (responsible for conducting the trial) shall decide in a Court of Law with all the fundamental rights guaranteed if a person is guilty or not of their crimes or eventually, civil, contractual or labor disputes.
