On the screen in front of you the New Republic symbol lights up, letting you know that the time has come for another monthly address. The symbol fades and the holocam zooms in to a tall, blond, and sexy Hapan that you instantly recognize as your Chief of State. Zeff smiles widely at the camera, obviously pleased to be there and excited to deliver his first of many monthly addresses.

"Greetings sentients of the New Republic, thank you for tuning into to my first State of the Republic Address. A lot has changed in the past month, and we have quite a bit to discuss.

First of all, We have four new Senators! I would like to congratulate Josh, Aves, Almar, and Husqr for their successful Senate campaigns. Be sure to bring up any and all concerns you have to them, you know just to make them feel wanted :). We now start a new session, and I for one am very excited to see what the Senate can do to improve the Republic during this session!

Additionally, we have three new members of the Advisory Council (besides myself of course). I would like to send congratulations to High General Wolfgang Nospe, High Ambassador Owen von Ismay, and Director Dan Neo for their promotions. Congrats guys :)

Taking one step below that, our very own Gavin Kaos has been named Associate Minister of Shipbuilding. Congratulations on the promotion Gavin, you have earned it!

From the Ministry of Culture, we have the long awaited announcement that applications for governor are re-opening this month! So get out there and read the governors bill to see if you qualify. If you do, start looking for systems! A big thank you goes out to Gojin for all of his hard work on this.

JMC has been hard at working developing our Raw Material Depots, and we expect the number to double over the next couple months. Owyn would also like to let you all know that I smell (A charge which I will deny until the end. I take great care to smell nice), and that JMC is hiring like usual. I'm talking to Owyn on IRC right now, and just the fact that his computer is finally letting him get on again should bring a smile to each of our faces :).

Speaking of our nationalized companies, I take pride in announcing formally that our old friend Van Harrad is returning from a long voyage to lead Corellian Transport Services once again. Van has a long history with the Republic, having served as one of it's first senators, and will do an excellent job with CTS.

I'd like to award Johnny Moon with the Leadership award for his exemplary leadership of CTS. Drinks are on him

Additionally, Jerac Elensar will be promoted to leader of Republic Media service, so I guess he and JM can split the tab.

Many of you know Nat Dues. Most of you would recognize him for his work within the Senate. Many of you know him as leader of the Rebel Alliance. Still others of you know him as "that one guy who does a lot of smiley faces on IRC". Regardless of how you know him, Nat has been reassigned. After doing an excellent job leading the RA, he has been transferred to everyone's favorite mining faction JMC. This is a mutual thing, as he is pretty stoked to go there. He will be succeeded by Jace Tracken.

Speaking Jace, that handsome devil, he has been awarded an Executive Citation from Nat as his final act. Congrats Jace!
Executive's Citation

However, he is not the only one to get an award. I hereby bestow Nat Dues with the Ingenuity Award, as well as the Leadership Award.

Militarily our fleet is coming along nicely. The Navy is stronger than ever, and at no point in the history of the combine has this many MC-80b's existed before. Isn't that an exciting thought?

Orion Chran has been promoted to Deputy Chief of the Army, so a big congrats goes out to him as well. He has worked long and hard for this promotion, so well done Orion.

On the diplomatic front, we have entered into a non-aggression pact with Terra-Stryker Industries. The nod goes out to Jake for initiating the process, and Owen on his first of many diplomatic successes.

Finally, I would like to award Kassa with the Selfless Service and Sacrifice Award, for all of her excellent work planning the Gala! Thanks Kassa.

Thank you for listening, Long Live the Republic!"

Zeff smiles and takes a deep breath, obviously thrilled to have made it through his first address with no major mistakes
