State of the Republic - Year 16 day 220

Greetings gentlebeings of the New Republic,
welcome to the SotR for the month of July.
Leadership:
With the retirement of CoS Wok and CMO Achilles there have been some necessary changes in the Advisory Council. Also, both High Marshal Netzer and Minister Frost couldn’t be contacted for a while now. Since the recent Constitutional Amendment has removed their positions from the mandatory AC, both positions will rest until someone suitable for the respective position can be found or they return.
High Genreal Chran has been promoted to Chief of Military Operations. He has been already acting CMO on multiple occasions and has good knowledge of the plans of the retired CMO Achilles, so the military will be in capable hands.
His successor in the Army will be High General Wolfgang Nospe, who has served the Army and the NR as a whole for years.
The vacant position of Minister of Trade and Industry will be inherited by Tengri Lethas, who brings with him an extensive knowledge in the realm of production and leading a successful company.
Last but not least, David Archer will take over the position of Minister of Civil Engineering. I have great confidence that the former MoS will handle this job as good as his predecessors.

RDC:
RDC has been working on an update of the "Identification, Friend or Foe" list (IFF), which can be found here, and has further advanced on getting in contact with various foreign factions and forming Non-Aggression-Pacts.
Additionally they helped to organize an inner faction event for the Arkanian Brotherhood on Tatooine.
NRI:
Our agents have performed some very important missions in the last months including the successful rescue mission of an Imperial Navy Officer who expressed his intention to join our ranks.
By providing intel NRI also assisted in some major and minor arrests by allied factions, including two alleged Zann infiltrators in Holowan.
Military:
Combat beta:
The testing of combat features on Derra is still ongoing. Preparations were taken to participate in the new facility combat and the later vehicle combat.
The newly opened area in Serroco will give additional opportunities to test our military abilities and work on combat strategies.
Security measures:
"The New Republic Military have reviewed the security measures for Operation Heartbreak. We have reviewed the various suggestions from both the Civilians as well as the Military which led to new safety procedures. The new measures would be mission dependent. The Military has started working on one such measure of installing locks on remaining ships. In order to ensure the safety of individuals on a operation the other protocols will not be released at this time. During a operation the protocols will be put into place and at that time may be released to put everyone involved in said operation at ease."
System hunting:
In a joined venture of the regular military forces and the reserve led by Minister Descartes a search for new planets has been executed in the Bozhnee Sector. Although no new systems were found the operation gave the opportunity to test the new security measures and strengthen the teamwork.

MoS:
The MoS has been working on different ways to bring easier access of foreign technology to our citizens. As a result the NR has been organizing DCs for production and is also in talks with the Trade Federation to open a sales hub in NR territory.
Minister Descartes is currently working personally on bringing the Personal Defense Set distribution back to live. Expect an announcement about it in the next week or two.
MoTI:
Our production NATs and PSCs are still highly occupied with building assets for our System Defense Groups. It’s a slow, but essential project. We may not have a instantaneous benefits out of it, but I’m certain that we will need the assets sooner or later.
MoCE:
Our civil builders are constantly developing our systems for more income and better production while the military is also taking care of defensive structures. Currently there are three major FI projects running and a fourth is ready to start. More information on the latter will be announced separately in the next days.
KotR:
Our Knights have performed force tests for NR citizens. If you are still interested please tke a look at Knights of the Republic.
