Republic Diplomacy Command, Republica System, Year 09 Day 162

In a recently published communique to the Galaxy, the New Republic announced the results of the Senate Elections of Year 09 Day 135. With 12 runner-ups, out of which two withdrew, one for technical, the other for private reasons, the final candidates for the Senate were Aalto Beed, Almar Zamasee, Angela Liu, Archer Oaz, Chrono van Talisman, Eli LaSalle, Gavin Kaos, Izjna Khaldo, Josh Jericho and Tal Hragon. With 68 votes, and 54 respectively, two Senators, Eli LaSalle and Chrono Van Talisman and were confirmed by the populace for their objective and excellent work on the Senate, with Angela Liu (36 votes) the third seat was filled.

Admiral Eli La Salle, is presently the Deputy Chief of the Naval Command and has held a wide variety of posts and offices during his long and outstanding career in the Rebel Alliance and New Republic and was also one of the founding members of the Senate. His primary perspections include legal and constitutional matters.

Captain Chrono van Talisman, also a founding member of the New Republican Senate and, like the Admiral, a long term New Republican with a meritorious career in a variety of offices and posts, including that of an Supreme Commander of the Rebel Alliance received as well a very high confirmation for his work amongst the citizens of the New Republic. His primary interests on the Senate include the balance of transparency and security, for example the security of elections.

Angela Liu, a relatively young New Republican compared to the two aforementioned Senators, earned her seat as well, with a promising career in various fields of the New Republic, including civil and military fields, in which she also has served in command capacity. Her passion and experience will for sure be a welcome addition to the Senate. It is a pleasure and with appreciation, that I am able to congratulate all candidates for their fair and open campaigns, and to congratulate the elected Senators and to congratulate Senator Nospe on his confirmation as Speaker of the Senate.
