Physical Description

Tattysail often wears an old leather jacket she’s had since leaving her home planet in the Hapes Cluster. She tends to favor simple, comfortable clothes in dark colors and sturdy combat boots.

She has over 50 tattoos, mostly covering her arms and parts of her torso. During her early life, Tattysail’s tattoos set her apart from other Hapans who felt that being blemished or marked in any way was considered a fate worse than death. She got many of her tattoos as an act of rebellion against Hapan standards of beauty and class hierarchy. She feels that they enhance the beauty of her person even if they don’t have any particular meaning or significance.

Biography

Born and raised within the Hapes Cluster, Tattysail lived with her parents in the Rifle Worlds at a colony called Moonstone. The colony was home to manufacturing plants that produced parts for heavy weapons and employed many of the Hapan living there. Factory workers, farmers, and other laborers were all at the bottom of the class based system within Hapan society. The Rifle Worlds were named for an attempt by the region to secede from Hapes, before being settled and becoming the primary manufacturing center of the Hapes Consortium. Many lower class citizens, including Tattysail, resented the class hierarchy.

Family

Tattysail’s parents were both factory workers. Tattysail's mother also brewed beer, a hobby she passed on to her daughter. Much of the ale was used to satisfy her father’s own endless thirst, but her mother managed to sell some batches to other Moonstonians for extra income. She mostly ignored her husband’s excessive drinking, always saying, “Everyone needs a little oblivion.” Tattysail’s father had been a farmer before Tattysail was born, but his farm had long since become defunct due to the pollution from the factories in Moonstone. When he wasn’t drinking, he grew exotic plants and ingredients for the brews in his own personal garden.(edited) Leaving the Hapes Cluster Tattysail always dreamed of leaving Moonstone and becoming a pilot, but opportunities were limited for a poor, lower class citizen. She took odd jobs doing anything to get her in a vehicle. She excelled at piloting and, before long, was making deliveries between planets in the Rifle Worlds. However, most of her salary went towards supporting her aging parents.

Years of alcoholism caught up to Tattysail’s father and his health declined. Tattysail’s mother took extra shifts at the factory to pay for his medical care. In year 17, her mother had an accident at the factory and died from her injuries. Heartbroken, her father was consumed by his alcoholism and died a year later. Tattysail sold their house, gathered together what credits she could and booked a one way trip out of the Hapes Cluster.

Joining the New Republic

Tattysail was inspired by the New Republic’s message of liberty, something she felt had been lacking from her Hapan homeworld. After leaving the Hapes Cluster, she journeyed to Rodia, hoping to join the New Republic. Her experience as a pilot lead her to Corellian Transport Services, where she serves in the vessel department.
