Greetings, my Republicans.
It has been busy the past few months for the New Republic and her citizens.
I’m pleased to say that our efforts in the Great Build and Securing our Planets are finally paying off. Both major projects are coming to a close with a few minor items left to complete. I as well as the rest of the Advisory Council would like to thank and congratulate everyone on their efforts. With the wrapping up of these projects, we can now focus on future endeavours to continue the progress of the New Republic.
Recently the New Republic Diplomacy Command brokered a treaty between the New Republic and the Chiss Ascendancy. The New Republic Senate ratified the treaty known as "The Treaty of Csilla" which formalizes relations between the two governments and defines shared responsibilities for governance and development within the Chiss’ home system. An economic component of the treaty allows all New Republic citizens to purchase goods and goods and services from the Chiss Ascendancy at a discount of 5% below the public sales price, and likewise Ascendancy citizens will be able to the same reduction from the New Republic.
Through the dedication of The Republic Diplomacy Command The New Republic has recently entered into a new alliance with Holowan Mechanicals. The Senate has ratified the alliance via the treaty known as the The Treaty. It is significant in that it is the first alliance that the New Republic has entered into outside of the Galactic Alliance since the creation of that intergovernmental body in Year 7.
Holowan Mechanicals and the New Republic have been working closely together for many months now, and their relationship has grown very strong over that short period of time. After some early diplomatic discussions, the two governments signed a non-aggression pact. This was followed by more collaboration, including Holowan providing much needed droid production support for the overburdened Industrial Automaton.
On the Military front, Chief of Military Operations Wedge Achilles is travelling in remote areas thus, High Admiral Ro Ru Wok is Acting Chief of Military Operations for the duration of Wedge's absence. In other Military news, various training programs have begun involving both the Military and the Civilian Military Reservist with future training scenarios taking shape.

The Galactic Alliance recently passed a new treaty which can be viewed here. In other Galactic Alliance news, Wuma Uxal-Lumir has been named Secretary General and Wedge Achilles the Deputy Secretary General. Congratulations to both individuals.

As you may know the Chief of State Kara DuMonte has resigned and (Acting) Chief of Military of Operations, High Admiral Ro Ru Wok has taken her place as (Acting) Chief of State until the elections are held. Kara has been a dedicated and valuable person in the many tasks that she has taken upon herself throughout her career. It was with that dedication that she moved the New Republic forward in a variety of areas to bring us to where we stand today.
On behalf of the New Republic , I would like to award Kara with the Hydian Star of Excellence.

At the same time, High Ambassador Biffis Maximus of The New Republic Diplomacy Command stepped down from his position to spend time with his family. Biffis also was a very dedicated and valuable person in which he brokered many deals and treaties in order to strengthen our fight against the enemy.
