Taka stands in front of a holo transmitter while traveling in a Modular Taskforce Cruiser, waiting for the announcer to give him the signal so he starts talking.

"Hello fellow New Republicans, I'm here to deliver the State of the Republic.

I want to begin by expressing our thanks to all who applied in the recent application openings to RDC, unfortunately they couldn't take everyone but they'll be more chances in the future. Congratulations to those who were accepted to the RDC Academy and good luck in your new career.

The Galactic Alliance is still progressing, we already have a new member and we'll make the appropriate announcement soon enough. We are also developing the current organization inside the alliance, like creating and beginning to work in new committees. My term as Sec-Gen has expired so we'll have a new one in a matter of hours.

In the domestic front I'm glad to see all those Home Ones we started long ago are already finishing, so our navy will be ready to fight the imperials. Probably one of the main concerns right now are not only the GE, but also this invasion of bandits of late, thankfully our population is prepared to defend itself against this kind of villains so I don't foresee any issues there.

Talking about bandits, we were also able to detect and arrest a Black Sun spy who infiltrated our ranks, Tara Jackson. We would like to thank Rrah Lowurra, Aves Sunfell, Evan Cornforth and Gryffyn Grayurra for their help in this matter. Remember NRI is always there to listen to anything you have to share, and we would like to thank all the New Republic citizens for their help on keeping an eye on anything suspicious.

In the Trade and Industry department we will see many changes, first and most important Lahasa Fy is taking over the department. For those who haven't been for too long, Lahasa's been working in this department for years, I still remember that my first step in there was replacing him in Ubrikkian like 4 years ago. Good luck mate. But well, changes aren't just at the top level, we are ready to merge two of our companies, MST and TGMI [but the admins aren't ready, they're still fixing bugs so don't hold your breath :P ] and we'll also combine the associate ministries of Vehicles and Armaments, Droids and Items and Shipbuilding into one single associate ministry of trade and industry.

The Academy is now filling the gap of the NR about Culture, therefore the new Culture Hub, and new cultural activities promoted and fostered by the Academy. Also, it is trying to streamline its procedures and be more effective to offer a wider range of courses as well as trying to create a friendly and cooperational atmosphere, involving the citizenry too. The Academy and Recruitment, which were merged, are now finding a new way to work together for the benefit of all. There is a lot of work to do, but it can be done and if things go well the overall standard of life would improve.

Finally before the awards, I'm glad to announce I'm appointing Cheda as second in command of the New Republic, nothing like a busy bee to take some load off my shoulders. Good luck and serve the Republic well, mate.
