Taka stands in front of the podium for the press conference and waits the signal from the technicians to start speaking.

"Hello fellow Republicans, I'm here in front of you to give you the longed State of the Republic.

Well, as you might have noticed the last couple of months have been a little slower than regular, we've had many leaders retiring and many others have taken a extended leave, which is pretty normal at this time of the year. I guess it's summer in the most important cities of the galaxy. This has pushed most of our nats and great portion of the civil side to a process of transition: Industrial Automaton, the Rebel Alliance, Juganoth, TransGalMeg Industries and Kerdos have new leaders, and we have a new Minister of Trade, a new Secretary of State and a new Associate Minister of Items and Droids. And it doesn't end there, we are looking for two new leaders too, so you might get an idea of how deep of a process we are undertaking.

Changes need time to flourish, but we also keep working to make progress as we go. For example MST has opened their doors, and with that now all the production NAT are open for business. Internal production is also steady and our fleet keeps becoming more powerful as several more war ships are under construction. And the medical academy keeps growing too, now they have opened their knowledge to the GA.

Talking about changes, Senate elections have just ended and we have many first timers here too. Congratulations to Wedge Achilles, Ayy D`oria, Tresk Nay`fey, Tyr Tulon, Luther Nightwish and Chi Fo, I hope you guys enjoy your time there. And when you're about to dispair, just remember life's a game and sometimes it's best to just relax and enjoy it.

Changing topic, I have the duty to announce the New Republic was attacked a couple of months ago by Vee Null, with the help of Solar Defense Agency and Critical Mass Mining. Their target was Aracelezog planet in the Praesitlyn, using the cities Morden Veritas hacked from Juganoth not long ago, but I'm glad to say that our forces acted so quickly that this attempt didn't have any chances. All the remaining cities in the planet have aligned to the New Republic so we didn't have any losses, and Vee's commanders cowardly fled soon after we arrested a big portion of their forces. We are cleaning up the mess there but everything should go back to normal in no time.

Regarding the Galactic Alliance, I'm pretty happy to see us finally moving in some direction. I can tell you that we've made a few deep reforms and as a result we have a new treaty, which has been already accepted and signed by all the members of the Alliance.

It was no news that we had been stuck for too long in a position where we had a treaty that was seriously outdated, but we couldn't agree on anything else. I believe indecision is bad for any group, it usually runs like a virus that destroys its will to win or even to survive, so this change is obviously an important step ahead. But not only because we are breaking the status quo, but also because we are going to see a few strong advantages compared to the past treaty. I don't want to spoil the GNS which should be coming up in a matter of hours so I won't give too many details, but making any improvements in the alliance was one of my personal goals when I took office, both as Chief of State and Secretary General, and I knew it'd be pretty difficult as the situation wasn't the best and it depended on many people. Now I have that satisfaction of seeing a task completed and I'm optimistic we are on the right path. I have to thank all the leaders of the Alliance, especially Mandor, Bisz and Cheda for their work and ideas.

Talking about RDC, Cheda would like to announce they have new folks too, let me give a warm welcome to Are Anglarius, Ayy D`oria, Dar Bors and Tresk Nay`fey and congratulations on completing the academy.

Also NRI would like to thank Biffis Maximus for his efforts on trying to capture traitor Morden Veritas, putting his life in peril.

And now the part I like the most, awards!

I'd like to award Cheda Quche and Troucei Laruse with the Outstanding Excellence Award for their hard work in the Academy, and Iroh Eikh`mir for his help with the "New Galaxy" project. Also Tomas Hook: He recently delivered a Tabby full of Mel and Lom to Arge, and cleaned out The Skunk of Mord's RMs. He's worked his butt off to get nearly one mil tons to us. Kristina says he never complains, just goes about his business.
