State of the Republic - May 2009

The sun is shining on Adbatar today as Zeff walks to the podium to deliver his monthly address. From his tan it is obvious he has been on several trips lately, and at least one seemed to have been relaxing. Flanked by several ministers he walks confidently to the podium before clearing his throat and leaning forward.

"Greetings Honorable citizens of the Republic. It is with great pleasure that I can announce that nothing huge nor insane happened this past month! I hope you have enjoyed this period as much as I have, and am pleased to be able to update you with our progress.

From the production side, I have an award to give. We all know that Incom Corporation can be a fun place to hang out, but one special lady has really made the place excell. With Gavin's recommendation, I hereby award Brooklyn Stone with the production supplier award! Congrats Brooklyn!

Our work on the Republica TP is progressing even faster than we had hoped, and with even more haulers being brought in to help the situation we expect it to be done in near record time. Kudos to Gojin and Chicotae for their hard work.

From the military stand point, we are continuing to upgrade our naval fleet with modern Mon Calamari 80b Cruisers, to replace the older ships of our navy. Not to be outdone, the SFC has also start producing loads of new fighters to fill the Cruisers up to capacity. The army is continuing it's successful officer exchange program with our allies in the GA, and we look forward to expanding it to other commands.

On that note, it is with the greatest of joy that I am able to announce Aves Sunfell as the new SFC Executive officer! Aves has done an excellent job within his BG, and will continue to do so on a command-wide level! Drinks are on him!"

Zeff smiles as he reads this and steps back to listen to an aide deliver a message.

"And on that note, I must head to a meeting in Calaron. Enjoy life, and Long live the Republic!"

with that Zeff hustles off to a waiting shuttle, reading a dossier that a minister had handed him.
