This recycling droid is a real rarity. Only a dozen remain in the galaxy, because this model was superseded by the EVS Droid.
The droid was donated on approval of the Trade Federation Cabinet by Lilith Delcroix of Vorsia Gearworks. Accompanying the droid there were papers describing that it was part of Abomination Squad crew, under Keyukep Xiuhcoatl, and that its last service was the urban renewal in Anthos Sector.

The New Republic had an award for recycling merits, and it was called "Scary Sam" due to the appearance of this droid.
