Your holoscreen flashes to black as your favorite soap ends with a dramatic cliffhanger. The logo of the RNN flashes over to a black screen before cutting away to two sentients sitting at a news desk.
HUW: “A warm welcome everyone from tropical Kashyyyk. I’m Huw Roon."
GILE: “And I’m Gile Landala.”
HUW: “Today we report live from Kashyyyk beach, as the Black Forest Day Remembrance has officially commenced yesterday on day 357.”
GILE: “Thousands of species have gathered today both at their homes and especially here with us, to remember the fallen wookiee victims of the infamous “Kashyyyk massacre” that took place over 12 years ago.”
HUW: “In Year 6, Imperial forces landed on the beaches of Kashyyyk and marched on the native population of Wookiees.”
GILE: “Under orders of Emperor Vodo Bonias Imperial forces formed a human chain; roaming the planet and executing any lifeforms they found. This brutal act of terror was perpetrated by cowardice and anti-humanoid views held by the Empire.”
HUW: “In [Year 8]] the New Republic launched a surprise attack along with the Falleen Federation and Trade Federation on the Galactic Empire and the defending 12 Colonies forces to free the world of Kashyyyk.”
GILE: “The joint operation "Forging Freedom" showed that we and many like us would not stand for the atrocities the Galatic Empire had committed.”
HUW: “The operation ended in a decisive victory for the New Republic and allied forces. Imperial and 12 Colonies forces retreated after putting up a meager resistance.”
GILE: “On Year 8 Day 93 the New Republic took control of Kashyyyk; smashing the chains of tyranny the Empire forced upon the planet.”
HUW: “Earlier today the local wookiee Chieftain Gwyyybuck gave us the honor of an interview, explaining what the remembrance holds in value for both the old and new generations of sentients and first of all wookiees”
HUW: “As for the actual ceremony of Black Forest Day, we were able to witness the start in the form of one vast march starting right at the centre of this wookiee village. Making an important halt in the tree of life to remember the dead and further continuing towards the beach where three bonfires will be lit in honour of the brave souls we lost. Chief of State Chran has stated to be present and is said to give a speech to show support.”
GILE: "after a week of remembrance the universe will celebrate another new year; here on Kashyyyk everyone will join together in ushering in the new. Reminding us of the brighter future ahead."
HUW: "That's right Gile, on Year 19 Day 28 we will also be celebrating Life day. but for now, stay tuned for more news."

The closing credits run over the now muted images of Gile and Huw conversing. Before the broadcast cuts to the next program you see the pair being approached by a wookiee chieftain and some followers. As they shake hands and interact with the local wookiee tribe. The RNN logo flashes once more before cutting over to a black screen.
