Tonight’s hosts will be Gile Landala & Huw Roon:
Your holoscreen flashes to black as the latest Boloball match finishes. The logo of the RNN flashes over the black screen before cutting away to two sentients sitting at a news desk.
HUW: “A wonderful evening, day or night to the people of the New Republic. I’m Huw Roon.”
GILE: “And I’m Gile Landala.”
HUW: “We’re here with your RNN news cast. Tonight we’ll be discussing the Ministry of State’s recent decision. Namely, the appointment of the Culture Department’s new management.”
The MoS’s seal comes up in the upper left corner of the screen.
GILE: “You heard it right folks: The Culture Office is back in the game. Two months ago our Minister of State, Arco Serle, announced Gryffyn Grayurra’s retirement from the Administrator office. We thank him for his service of caring for the NR’s libraries and museums, and documenting her vast history.”
Footage of Gryffyn from within the Museum plays where the MoS’s logo once was.
HUW: “He has left some large shoes to fill. Thank you once again Gryffyn, for your tireless efforts.”
GILE: “I’m not sure he has shoes he could leave behind, Huw. But there is a lot to live up to.”
Huw’s eyes shift to the side to flash a cold stare Gile’s way before returning to the report.
HUW: “As for the new leadership, three applicants responded to Minister Serle’s offer. Ubisa Vrand, whom we all recognize as our very own Grand Historian, chose to apply. Same as Ghullka Ikto, the academy’s dean of recruitment and a naval officer. Finally Gile Landala, a Republic Medical doctor and newly made RNN Newsreader.”
Gile waves at the camera, flashing a smile at the mention of his name.
HUW: “After a couple of questions stages, all three applicants were reviewed by both the MoS and the AC. Resulting in the appointment of not one but all three applicants to form the Cultural Office Board.”
The screen transitions to footage of the MoS and AMoS welcoming the three into their new office. The commentary of the two pauses while the clip shows. As Arco Serle’s opening remarks come to a close the video is silenced and moves to the upper left corner.
GILE: “I’ll say Huw, I have got to get myself a sash like that.”
Huw: “You know you wouldn’t look as good in it as I do.”
Gile laughs as Huw continues on.
HUW: “With all three sharing similar views, we hope they will strive together for the preservation of the NR’s culture.”
GILE: “We sure will, Huw, we sure will. At the moment we are looking where we need to focus our efforts. We are assessing the whole department. The planning of a new event is already in the running. And, as you see for yourselves, the RNN is broadcasting once more.”
HUW: “And we hope to keep it that way.”
GILE: “From all of us here at the RNN we would like to thank you for joining us for this broadcast.”
