This ship type is often called more generally "Rebel transport" because of the important role they had in move food, ammunition, medical supplies, weapons, troops to all corner of the galaxy before the GR-75 was replaced with more sturdy, armed, and faster ships.
The GR-75s are still playing an important role in the New Republic's fleet and they can be seen surrounded by an escort of X-Wing squadrons from time to time.
This ship was used in Sullust system to move cargo between industrial centres.
