The NRS Ion Storm has a checkered past and is currenlty part of the fleet available to the NR Academy. Before being assigned to new cadets, however, she saw much action in military campaigns such as Kashyyyk and Thyferra, were she was employed extensively to drop units and pick up prisoners of war. She was also piloted by the - at that time - Lieutenant JG Mott Skyblade before he betrayed the NR during the Black Sun coup. The NRS Ion Storm was also used by Alph Virphen to rescue and give protective custody to several Rebel Alliance officers.
