This swoop was produced by the New Republic in an adventurous way.
When the Rebel Alliance and SoroSuub Corporation (SSC) merged, Black Sun (BS) was part of SSC, and in order to avoid rumors that the NR was backing up somehow BS, its name was changed to 'Republica Trading' or something like that. At that time, Jake Azzameen was leader of that corporation, and he assigned the BS vehicle technology to some Ubrikkian Industries's factories for production.
When the BS coup happened, Adam A. Flynn and Ingo R. Vailis never checked the datacard uses; they were not removed from the factories so Ubrikkian kept producing as many of them as possible despite several difficulties: raw materials became scarcer after the coup and it was difficult to provide them to the factories; the folks were trying to protect stuff, and it was necessary to conceal these production runs to everybody for the simple reason that it was not clear if there were still BS people around. If there were, they'd tell Adam A. Flynn or Ingo R. Vailis, and the datacards would be revoked.
Eventually, Edhrikhor Tlakh`sar was informed of this ongoing project, and it is believed that he passed the news to the BS folks who removed the datacards from the Ubrikkian's factories.
