A swoop, also known as a swoop bike, is a repulsorlift vehicle similar to a speeder bike. As a matter of fact, a swoop is an overpowered version and is often described as "an engine with a seat." The term indicates also an entire class of small, high-speed repulsorlift vehicles that have become one of the most common forms of personal transport in the galaxy.

Swoops are often used by gangs of criminals, with such organizations bearing the mantle of swoop gang. They are also used for swoop racing.

The origin of the swoop is unknown, but the vehicles have been in heavy use across the galaxy for hundreds of thousands of years. As the swoop market has grown, a variety of companies have introduced new and more powerful models.
