This barge has a long and eventful history. It was used during a conflict between the New Republic and the Galactic Empire that took place in Year 10 around Day 90 and lasted for about two months. At that time, Ruben Wan was a Junior Officer in the NR Starfighter Command and was sent to block the bridgehead of the GE on a planet controlled by the NR. This vehicle was adapted and turned into a mobile prison for the arrested enemy personnel.
Unfortunately for Ruben, eventually the planet fell in the Empire's hands, and Ruben Wan was forced to leave it there until the next favourable occasion. This occasion occurred two years later, on Year 12 Day 175 when he managed to retrieve the barge while eluding the Imperial security mesh.
If it can be said that Ruben Wan used a bit of humor in naming that barge, it is also true that no prisoner has ever complained about the treatment received while being in the Builders' Party.
The over 150 prisoners were later transferred into the Republican prisons and reportedly they are still longing for those "beautiful days" in the Eclipse.
