This ship is in mint condition because it was produced in the finest military Industrial Complex of the New Republic and never saw a theatre of war.
The ship's design is essentially a long wing with a pair of folding airfoils and the gyroscopic cockpit that stands still while the rest of the ship rotates during the flight.
The armaments make this fighter apt for mission profiles that include attacks on much larger imperial ships and their quick disabling through the ion cannons. Secondary missions may include assault strikes on orbital and ground-based imperial facilities as well as escort duties for X- and Y-Wing fighter squadrons.
