While others are meant to build, Rebel Alliance is meant to destroy.

Phoenix Salvage is the Rebel Alliance's nationalized recycling, demolition, and waste management company. When buildings don't meet regulations or ships cost more to maintain than they are worth, New Republicans turn to the Rebel Alliance to demolish them and extract any raw materials they can. Rebel Alliance uses years of experience in destroying Imperial installations combined with advanced extraction and recycling techniques that are protected by many New Republican patents to get the most reusable materials that it can.

Phoenix Salvage is one of the most unique companies in the New Republic because of its historical name and various lines of work. It employs thousands of New Republicans to complete its tasks. Many employees sign up for "the rebels" seeking a career destroying things or as a first step towards a military career, but some choose one of Rebel Alliance's other opportunities in construction, mining, and ship manufacturing. Rebel Alliance also serves as the governing company of the Sluis system, allowing employees various methods of improving their standard of living from managing smaller businesses to running factories of their own.

On Year 8 Day 98, the Rebel Alliance and the colossal SoroSuub Corporation merged to establish the New Republic.

The Republic News Service was the New Republic's Information faction, excelling in creating high quality satellites and presenting the news throughout the galaxy.
However, that was not enough for this Republic giant. Under the management of Wolfgang Nospe, Republic News Service strived to not only spread the truth, but also develope the New Republic and fight its enemies all over the universe.
As an Information Faction for the New Republic, the mandate was present the news in a factual and relevant manner, and also work on many special operations for the New Republic, bringing civilization and democracy to remote worlds and produce ships to help in the fight, ranging from the small but fast A-Wing to the mighty titan MC80 Home One Class Star Cruiser.
